Medora Elementary School's Vision Statement
We believe that all students deserve to have their basic needs met and to feel special and loved in order to achieve success. They deserve good role models and quality leadership from administration, teachers, and community members who have high expectations for their success. They deserve a clean, safe environment conducive to study, with fair consistent rules and the tools and time to accomplish goals. Students deserve a variety of academic and non-academic activities using current technology and equipment. They are entitled to a quality education centered on a rigorous standards-based curriculum where students are taught according to his/her learning style by qualified teachers who are helpful, dedicated, congenial and patient. The curriculum involves teachers, parents, and community, and continues beyond the school day, keeping students actively involved and making choices in the learning process. Students deserve to receive encouragement and feedback from teachers who use a variety of fair assessment methods. They deserve a variety of real-life experiences that are enjoyable, educational, and cultural. Students deserve respect and trust from surrounding adults who listen to their feelings and concerns.
